The short version: what you share through this site goes to Chris, and to no one else. We don’t sell it, we don’t use it for advertising, and this website doesn’t track you with cookies or analytics.
Who we are
This website, 40strong.com, is run by 40 Strong LLC, an Arkansas company led by Chris Zuiker (“40 Strong,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what information we collect through the site, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email info@40strong.com.
What we collect
What you tell us. When you fill out our form, we receive:
- Your name, email address and phone number (required).
- Anything else you choose to answer: city and state, age range, marital status, number and ages of your children, where you are in your faith, the areas you want to work on, the program you’re interested in, whether your wife is on board, when you’d like to start, how you heard about us, your answers to our open questions, and how and when you prefer to be contacted.
Some of this is personal: your faith, your marriage, your family and the battles you’re facing. All of it beyond your name, email and phone is optional. Share only what you’re comfortable sharing.
What our systems record automatically. Like any website, our web host keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and the time) to run and secure the site. To stop spam, the form keeps a scrambled (hashed) version of your connection’s address for up to about two hours. We don’t store IP addresses with your form submission.
How we use it
- To read your message and get back to you.
- To understand where you are and whether 40 Strong is a good fit.
- To talk with you about the 40 Strong Program and our brotherhood.
- To keep the site secure and free of spam.
We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we don’t use it to show you ads.
Calls, texts and email
When you send the form, you agree that Chris and 40 Strong may contact you by phone, text message or email about 40 Strong, using the details you provided. Message and data rates may apply. You can stop at any time: reply STOP to a text, tell us on a call, or email info@40strong.com. Agreeing to be contacted is never a condition of buying anything.
Who else sees it
Only the service providers that make the site and our email work, and only to the extent they need to:
- DreamHost hosts the website and stores form submissions on our server.
- Fastmail delivers form submissions to our inbox by email.
- Proton provides our email inbox.
- Cloudflare delivers and protects the website traffic.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of someone or our rights.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising pixels or other tracking tools. Because we don’t track you across sites, we don’t need to respond to browsers’ “Do Not Track” signals.
Some content on our pages comes from outside services, which receive your browser’s standard information (such as IP address) when they load:
- Fonts from Google Fonts and icons from Font Awesome.
- The Spotify podcast player on our Podcast page, which may set its own cookies under Spotify’s privacy policy.
Links to Apple Podcasts, YouTube, Instagram and X take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.
How long we keep it
We keep your form submission for as long as we’re in conversation with you or you’re part of 40 Strong, and then for as long as reasonably needed for our records. Ask us to delete it at any time and we will.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you the information we have about you, correct it, or delete it. Email info@40strong.com and we’ll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have additional rights under state law; we honor them, and we will not treat you differently for using them.
Security
The whole site runs over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and submissions are stored in a private area of our server that only we can access. No method of sending or storing information is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security, but we take care with what you trust us with.
Children
40 Strong is for adult men. This site is not meant for anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
